About Us

We are a group of uOttawa medical students dedicated to teaching the broader student community about anesthesiology and fostering a passion for this specialty. Through engaging talks with anesthesiologists, hands-on workshops, and research opportunities, we aim to provide insight into the multifaceted nature of anesthesiology, from its role in surgical procedures to advancements in pain management and critical care.

We developed this resource under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Szeto, the Director of Anglophone UGME Anesthesiology, in collaboration with the Anesthesia Ambassador Alliance (AAA), a national student movement focused on expanding medical students' knowledge about anesthesiology, career options, and sharing research and non-research opportunities. The uOttawa Anesthesia Resource was created to ensure a seamless transition for everyone entering clerkship. This video resource is not directly affiliated with the University of Ottawa, The Ottawa Hospital, or the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at The Ottawa Hospital.
